Paramount Painting Co. completes restoration at Doubletree Hotel

May 11, 2009 - Owners Developers & Managers
Paramount Painting Company (Paramount) has completed the redecoration of the Doubletree Hotel, located on 49th St. and 7th Ave. in the heart of Times Square. Paramount Painting removed and installed the wall coverings on the first, third, and fifth floors, painted the walls, and installed wood covering to the buffet in the restaurant portion of the hotel. As challenging as the project proved to be, Paramount was able to complete it in a timely fashion without any major obstacles. The wall coverings on the first, third and fifth floors were removed and new coverings were installed and then painted. On the fifth floor, the owner, Omnibuild, required that the wood panels at the elevator lobbies have scuff master paint applied, and ownership wanted to keep the cost low by using a more cost effective product. Mario Simicich, an employee of Paramount, did extensive research and identified a less expensive product that fit the needs of the company and the hotel.
