May 11, 2009 - Brokerage
Larry Silverstein, president and CEO of Silverstein Properties, addressed the Young Men's/Women's Real Estate Association (YM/WREA) in mid-April at the organization's monthly luncheon. He discussed how the face of downtown has changed, certainly since 9/11, in terms of its commercial office space, tenant mix, new buildings, and influx of residential tenants to the area. Established in 1948, with a membership totaling approximately 394, Young Men's/Women's Real Estate Association promotes greater understanding and knowledge of the real estate industry among its constituents through its monthly luncheons and wide variety of philanthropic activities including Habitat for Humanity Build Day, Central Park Clean-Up Day, an Annual Blood Drive, among others, in addition to many social functions.
