Peet joins SWBR and receives LEED certification

According to SWBR Architects, recently appointed Steven Peet received his Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Certification, offered through the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). This certification recognizes those who have completed the necessary training, education and testing to apply green architecture standards to their designs. SWBR now employs 20 LEED accredited professionals. Peet joins SWBR as an architectural intern where he is responsible for schematic design development and construction documentation, as well as housing design. Peet will focus his efforts on 3D modeling, rendering and helping with the design process. Peet received his masters in Architecture from the University at Buffalo this year. "We're thrilled to welcome Steve and are proud of his accomplishment in obtaining LEED accreditation so soon after joining the firm. LEED principles are an everyday part of our firm's designs and he stands behind what we believe in as a company," said David Beinetti, president of SWBR. "We're strongly committed to training our entire staff in sustainable design and encourage them all to get certification to help us improve on the best practices we have used for years."
