JRKDG and M&R top off 51-unit mixed-use building - The Madison

April 14, 2009 - Owners Developers & Managers
Brooklyn's newest luxury residential building and one of the only rental residential projects currently under development in the borough topped off as originally scheduled. The 8-story reinforced concrete superstructure at 3692 Bedford Ave., in Brooklyn's Madison/Bedford neighborhood, was officially completed February 13. The 51-unit, mixed-use building, appropriately named The Madison, will offer one and two-bedroom residences as well as studio apartments.  Featuring 9-ft. ceilings and premium finishes, the building will provide a full array of tenant amenities. The Madison is a project of JRK Development Group (JRKDG) and M&R Management (M&R).   The Madison is the companies' first residential development project since the 1970s and their second recent collaboration, following the 2006 completion of 1928 Bay Ave., a commercial renovation project that is now the most advanced professional building in the Midwood section of Brooklyn.   "The successful topping off of The Madison as scheduled, despite the economic pressures that have brought most other development projects to a standstill, is reflective of the commitment we have brought to the New York real estate market for over 70 years," said Zachary Kerr, president of M&R Management. "We have maintained a successful strategy of acquisition, development, reinvestment and service that has enabled us to grow and thrive through changing economic cycles, to deliver premium housing stock to new and long-tenured tenants, and to consistently provide quality employment opportunities."
