November 19, 2007 - Long Island
Joseph Sassone, A.I.A., a veteran architect with broad experience, has joined JRS Architect, P.C. as office manager and a project manager in the firm's 30-person Long Island corporate headquarters. Sassone, who has more than 18 years of experience as an architect on Long Island and expertise in design, facilities needs assessment and construction management, will oversee the Long Island architectural staff. "It gives me great pleasure to join the highly regarded, growing commercial architecture firm that JRS Architect, P.C. has become," said Sassone, who is a New York State registered architect and New York State licensed asbestos project designer. "Joseph Sassone's long, wide-ranging experience and managerial skills will be a tremendous asset to JRS as we expand the scope of our activities and grow our firm," said John Sorrenti, founder and president of JRS Architect, P.C. Last year, the firm acquired New York City-based design firm, Soffes Wood Inc., doubling its size. Sassone's experience includes design, project management and construction of new buildings, additions and renovations for various school districts, retail centers and high-end residential projects. He has extensive experience with local municipalities, public works and health departments. His experience also includes pre-bond referendum planning, preparation and implementation of facilities evaluations, feasibility studies and cost estimating.
