é opens 450 s/f at Iskalo's Electric TowerBuffalo, NY According to Iskalo Development Corp., Fera's Café, a lunchtime tradition in western New York since the 1960s when John Fera opened his first sub shop, will open Fera's Electric Tower Café. The 450 s/f café will be located in the grand atrium of the Electric Tower located at 535 Washington St.
"The Electric Tower is the perfect place for us to carry on Fera's traditions," said Sue Priamo, the proprietor of Fera's Electric Tower Café. "The level of quality and detail that went into restoring this historic building is a match for the Fera's brand because we hold the same high standard for the food we prepare and service we provide. I think it will be a great place to call home."
The café is scheduled to open this upcoming April. Until that time, Fera's will continue with its operations at the Market Arcade building. The Electric Tower was acquired by Iskalo from Niagara Mohawk in 2004. Iskalo has returned the property to its original grandeur, starting with the restoration and reconstruction of the two-story lobby space and the build-out of tenant office suites. The building was rededicated in August, 2007, and serves the community as the host of the annual New Year's Eve "Ball Drop."
