Andover Realty brokers Howard Tedman and Steve Freidus have generated a new record and benchmark for multi-story garage buildings in Upper Manhattan: $226 per s/f.
161 West 132nd St., a four-story 22,800 s/f garage building, has been purchased by Bentley Meeker Lighting and Staging for a consideration of $5.15 million.
Bentley Meeker Lighting and Staging is one of the city's finest lighting vendors. It provides state of the art lighting for a diverse range of events. The company's clients include Michael Douglas, Joan Rivers, The White House, Liza Minnelli and the Museum of Natural History.
The premises will be utilized for the company's corporate headquarters, administrative offices and production facilities.
With this transaction, Andover Realty has now brokered more than 600,000 s/f of garage premises in the borough.
