A group of prominent developers took an upbeat take on the current market at a recent forum in Manhattan hosted by Professional Women in Construction (PWC) and moderated by Lois Weiss of the New York Post. Ivanka Trump, executive vice president of The Trump Organization, said that plans for international expansion are proceeding with projects at such sites as Dubai and the Dominican Republic. Louise Sunshine, development director of Alexico Group and former CEO of The Sunshine Group, praised President Barack Obama for ushering in a new era of change and hope. J.J. Bistricer, executive vice president at Clipper Equity, noted that sales are going well at Belltel Lofts in Brooklyn. Ilan Bracha of the Bracha Group at Prudential Douglas Elliman and founder of B&B Investment Group, said that his emphasis on equal service to all clients has helped propel his success.
The event, presented January 29 at the General Society Library, drew a large crowd of construction and real estate professionals. According to Lenore Janis, president of PWC, "The Forum started the new year off on a positive note."
