Atlas Park brokers 11 leases totaling 20,000 s/f at The Shops at Atlas Park

The Shops at Atlas Park will soon welcome 11 new tenants, including one local dance studio, 8 retailers and 2 office tenants, bringing the total number of tenants at the retail center up to 57.
Atlas Park LLC, a division of Atco Properties and Management, Inc., has signed long-term leasing agreements with all eleven companies. The new tenants, which combined occupy 20,000 s/f, include The UPS Store, Advance Health Nutrition, Chopin Chemists, Dance & Beyond, Floris Day Spa and Nails, Frankie's Playce, M12ThirtyOne, NY Sun Club Tanning, Precise Optique, PSI Examination Services and R.K. Gupta Corp.
"These tenants help provide a more complete shopping experience to our customers," said Damon Hemmerdinger, Atlas Park's development director. "We are adding a toy store, fashionable men's store, day spa, tanning salon, eyeglasses, and other local boutiques. We are also pleased to be filling up our office space, which helps drive daytime traffic."
The Shops at Atlas Park will welcome the 11 new tenants between November 2007 and March 2008. All of the negotiations, excluding PSI, Floris Day Spa, and UPS, were handled in-house by A&Co.
More about the new tenants: Frankie's Playce will be the only full-service toy store in Queens to incorporate children's haircutting. It will occupy 4,050 s/f adjacent to Art World and open in November 2007. Nina Maurello of A&Co. represented the landlord. Rent: $55 per s/f.
Floris Day Spa and Nails, a salon and spa, occupies 3,500 s/f and is scheduled to open next to Borders in November 2007. Fern Wagner of Goldschmidt and Associates represented Floris, and Nina Maurello of A&Co. represented the landlord. Rent: $45 per s/f.
M12ThirtyOne, a Soho-style men's clothing boutique, occupies 1,050 s/f. The business is scheduled to open in November 2007. Nina Maurello of A&Co. represented the landlord. Rent: $55 per s/f.
Advance Health Nutrition, one of the fastest growing international supplement companies, will occupy 950 s/f and is scheduled to open in December 2007. Dante Amenta of A&Co. represented the landlord. Rent: $55 per s/f.
Chopin Chemists, a local pharmacy, occupies 1,800 s/f facing Market Plaza and is scheduled to open in December 2007. Nina Maurello of A&Co. represented the landlord. Rent: $60 per s/f.
Precise Optique, an optical store, occupies more than 1,050 s/f. The business is scheduled to open directly across from Art World in December 2007. Nina Maurello of A&Co. represented the landlord. Rent: $45 per s/f.
The UPS Store, occupies 912 s/f and is scheduled to open in December 2007. First Development Corporation represented UPS, and Nina Maurello of A&Co.represented the landlord. Rent: $55 per s/f.
New York Sun Club Tanning, a 2,000 s/f, full-service tanning salon, is scheduled to open in February 2008. Nina Maurello of A&Co. represented the landlord. Rent: $45 per s/f.
Dance & Beyond, a dance studio, will occupy 1,650 s/f at the basement level starting in March 2008. John Cinosky of Atco Property Services and Dante Amenta of A&Co. represented the landlord. Rent: $30 per s/f.
Gupta Cranes, will occupy 1,010 s/f on the third floor of The Offices at Market Plaza starting November 1st. Dante Amenta of A&Co. represented the landlord. Rent: $28 per s/f.
