Located between Wall St., City Hall Park and the South Street Seaport above the financial district, The South Start at 80 John St., is now 85% sold. Designed in 1926 by Buchman & Kahn, the 147 units at The South Star have been redesigned and reconfigured to the most up-to-date standards. Architect Stephen Jacobs and interior designer Andi Pepper, highlighted the building's Art Deco origins by elaborating on its 12 ft. coffered ceiling lobby with a jewel-toned color palette. The one, two, and three bedroom units at The South Star have ceiling heights of 11 ft., and oversized windows. Barrie Mandel, senior vice president, Corcoran Group Marketing, is the director of sales for The South Star.
