Long Island Real Estate Group elects Einbinder president, new officers

David Einbinder, co-founder and principal of Hauppauge-based First Development Corp., was elected president of the Long Island Real Estate Group (LIREG). Einbinder is a founding member of LIREG and most recently was membership coordinator of the networking and philanthropic organization. He previously served as secretary of LIREG. Einbinder succeeds Richard Cohn, who served two years and remains on the LIREG executive board. Sam Yedid of the Melville law firm, Lazer, Aptheker, Rosella & Yedid, P.C. was elected vice president of LIREG. Eric Rubenstein, who in 2008 was named secretary of LIREG, was elected to the post for a new term. Rubenstein is a partner at the Uniondale law firm Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. Rob Merker, treasurer of LIREG since 2006 will continue in that position. A founding member of LIREG, he is president of Port Washington-based Merker Advisory Services. Michael Alderman, a partner in East Meadow-based CPA firm Alderman & Company, L.L.P., was elected chairman of LIREG's steering committee. Brad Cronin, a board member, was elected membership coordinator. Cronin is a partner in the Mineola law firm Cronin, Cronin and Harris PC.
