Habitat for Humanity NYC and Westchester County to celebrate “Opening Doors to Possibility” at 2026 Habitat House Party
Manhattan, NY Habitat for Humanity New York City and Westchester County will bring together leaders from across the state for its 2026 Habitat House Party on Wednesday, November 18, at The Metropolitan Club. As this year’s Corporate Partner of the Year, Con Edison joins the annual gala in celebrating the people and partnerships helping keep the promise of homeownership alive for New Yorkers.
Themed “Opening Doors to Possibility,” the evening will recognize leaders in housing, public service, business, and our local community who are expanding access to affordable homeownership and helping more New Yorkers own a piece of the communities they call home. Tony Award-nominated Broadway star Betsy Wolfe, recently seen in Death Becomes Her and & Juliet, and currently starring in Little Shop of Horrors, will serve as emcee and featured musical performer.

The 2026 Habitat House Party will honor leaders and organizations whose work reflects that commitment. This year’s honorees include Anthony Montalto, senior vice president at JB&B, a Trinity Consultants team, with the Legacy Award; Karim Hutson, president & CEO of Genesis Companies, as Home Builder of the Year; Ahmed Tigani, commissioner of the NYC Department of Buildings, with the Public Service Award; Elder Laverne Cummings of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, as Community Partner of the Year; and Con Edison as Corporate Partner of the Year.
For more than 40 years, Habitat NYC and Westchester has helped New Yorkers do something that is becoming increasingly difficult: putting down roots through homeownership. Today, Habitat is building new pathways to homeownership, preserving the affordable homes New York already has, helping tenants become owners, and advancing policies that keep ownership within reach. The goal is not simply to create more homeowners today, but to ensure those opportunities remain for the New Yorkers who come next.
Con Edison’s recognition as Corporate Partner of the Year celebrates a partnership that is helping Habitat strengthen homes and communities across New York. In addition to Con Edison’s support of Habitat’s work, the Con Edison Foundation has committed $750,000 over three years to Habitat through its Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), providing critical funding to help expand access to affordable homeownership and advance long-term housing stability. Together, this support reflects a shared commitment to creating stronger, more sustainable communities and expanding opportunity for New Yorkers.

Habitat invites individuals, companies, and community partners to join the 2026 Habitat House Party and support its work creating and preserving affordable homeownership opportunities across New York City and Westchester. Sponsorship opportunities range from $5,000 to $50,000, with customized packages available.
