What was the most rewarding project or deal you’ve worked on in the past 12 months, and why?

An industrial building that had been empty for years and now we have most spaces full. We were able to find unconventional tenants and the owner was willing to do the buildout. He is happy with the outcome and it has been rewarding to see.

What leadership lesson has made the greatest impact on your career?

I had a mentor that was a tough teacher and he took me under his wing. He was extremely encouraging and he taught me to share my experiences and knowledge with others. Always maintain professionalism and keep your spirits high.

What advice would you give to the next generation of women entering commercial real estate?

I would say to be visible. Get involved in community organizations and volunteer your time. It helps with your visibility and your character is reflected through your volunteer work. Do not be afraid to try new things.

What trend or change in commercial real estate do you believe will have the biggest impact over the next five years?

Housing. There is a tremendous need of all types.
