What was the most rewarding project or deal you’ve worked on in the past 12 months, and why?

The past year has been incredibly rewarding because it has been a year of intentional growth for NYM. Every decision we’ve made has been focused on strengthening NYM for the future, from expanding our capabilities and enhancing our technology to refining our operations and building scalable systems that allow us to better serve our clients. While I’m proud of the projects we’ve completed and the growth we’ve achieved, success isn’t measured solely by those milestones. It’s measured by the organization we’re building and the lasting impact we make for the clients who trust us with their assets.

What leadership lesson has made the greatest impact on your career?

This year, I’ve focused on strengthening our company culture and it’s reinforced one of the most important leadership lessons I’ve learned: excellence isn’t just something you expect-it’s something you recognize, celebrate and cultivate. Our team is the foundation of NYM’s legacy. Every person who chooses to build their career with us places their trust in our organization and I never take that lightly. It’s both an honor and a responsibility that I carry with me every day. That perspective inspires me to create an environment where individuals feel valued, empowered, and inspired.

What advice would you give to the next generation of women entering commercial real estate?

Don’t try to fit into the industry — help shape it. As a woman in commercial real estate, there were times I questioned whether I belonged. What I learned is that success doesn’t come from fitting in — it comes from bringing your own perspective and having the confidence to act on it. If you have an idea or a passion, pursue it. Stay curious, keep learning, work hard, and never let someone else’s expectations limit your potential. This industry offers endless possibilities, and the people who make the greatest impact are the ones who have the courage to create their own path.

What trend or change in commercial real estate do you believe will have the biggest impact over the next five years?

I believe the biggest shift over the next five years will be the increasing demand for strategic service partners. PM’s and FM’s are being asked to do more with fewer resources while navigating rising costs and growing expectations. As a result, they’ll continue seeking partners who simplify operations, leverage technology to improve visibility and communication and think beyond the work order. The firms that will thrive are those that understand the owner’s perspective, helping clients protect their assets, control costs, and create better experiences for the tenants and customers.
