Decoration & Design Building to launch multi-line showroom The Collective in September 2026
Manhattan, NY The Decoration & Design Building, New York’s premier destination for luxury interiors and decorative resources, has launched The Collective, an innovative new showroom concept opening in September 2026 on the building’s fourth floor.
Designed to offer exceptional flexibility for design brands seeking a presence within the D&D Building, The Collective introduces a sophisticated multi-line showroom environment that allows companies to establish visibility within the industry’s leading design center without the operational demands or expense of opening and staffing a traditional standalone showroom.
“This new concept creates a rare opportunity for decorative resources to gain meaningful exposure within the D&D Building while benefiting from experienced staffing and a highly collaborative environment,” said Matthew Kurzban, vice president of leasing at Cohen Brothers Realty Corporation.
The curated space will feature multiple luxury design brands operating within a co-branded showroom setting, creating a dynamic destination for the design community. Participating brands may license individual display bays, vignettes, or designated presentation areas, with opportunities available across categories including lighting, furniture, textiles, wallcoverings, rugs, decorative finishes, and tile.
In addition to curated product displays, The Collective will include a dedicated sample room and an inviting designer lounge intended to foster creative collaboration, client meetings, and customized industry programming. The showroom will be professionally managed by an experienced D&D showroom manager with deep knowledge of the building’s operations and established relationships within the design community.
License agreements will be available for terms of 18 to 24 months, offering greater flexibility than traditional showroom leases. Monthly pricing for display bays and designated areas have all-inclusive pricing, depending on size and configuration. Participating brands will retain 100% of sales revenue with no revenue-sharing requirements, allowing The Collective to function as an effective satellite showroom complementing existing locations and distribution strategies.
