PWC NY to celebrate 2026 Project Award honoree at annual Salute to Women of Achievement Gala

June 30, 2026 - Owners Developers & Managers

Manhattan, NY Professional Women in Construction New York (PWC NY) has officially opened submissions for the second annual Project Award, recognizing an outstanding New York project that exemplifies the leadership, innovation, and impact of women across the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.

The honored project will be celebrated at PWC NY’s 2026 Salute to Women of Achievement Gala, one of the organization’s signature events dedicated to recognizing women who have made exceptional contributions to the built environment. While the Salute has traditionally focused on honoring individual achievements, the Project Award extends that recognition to the collaborative work being delivered by women in key leadership positions throughout the industry.

“Salute to Women of Achievement is a true reflection of PWC NY’s mission to advance and support women in the AEC industry,” said Gina Riviera, PWC NY executive director. “The Project Award provides an opportunity to showcase the remarkable projects being led and influenced by women while highlighting the innovation, expertise, and dedication that continue to shape our communities and our profession.”

PWC NY is seeking submissions for projects located within New York State that have been designed, built, or facilitated by women serving in key project roles. Eligible projects must have completed construction by January 2027.

In evaluating submissions, the selection committee will consider several factors that reflect excellence in today’s built environment, including innovative design, project complexity, sustainability initiatives, health and safety performance, and participation by Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs).

The award is intended to recognize projects that not only demonstrate technical and operational excellence but also showcase the growing influence of women across all facets of project delivery. From design and planning through construction and project management, women continue to play increasingly significant roles in shaping some of New York’s most impactful developments.

As the AEC industry continues to evolve, PWC NY remains committed to highlighting achievements that advance opportunities for women while fostering a more inclusive and diverse workforce. The Project Award serves as an important platform for recognizing teams and organizations that are helping to create pathways for future generations of industry leaders.

The selected project will be announced in August 2026 and formally recognized at the Salute to Women of Achievement Gala on September 23, 2026. Two representatives from the winning project team will be invited to attend the gala and accept the award on behalf of the project and its participants.

Project teams are encouraged to submit supporting materials that help tell the story of their work, including presentations, project narratives, photographs, drawings, sustainability documentation, and other relevant information.
