Brookfield Props. secures 475,000 s/f lease renewal with Cleary Gottlieb at One Liberty

Manhattan, NY According to Brookfield Properties, Cleary Gottlieb has recommitted to One Liberty for another 20 years. The deal marks the firm’s second long-term lease extension at the 53-story trophy office tower. 

Cleary Gottlieb is the largest tenant at One Liberty and will occupy the top 10 floors of the office tower.

Cleary Gottlieb was represented by Moshe Sukenik and Brian Cohen of Newmark, as well as Mark Weiss and Josh Kuriloff of Cushman & Wakefield. Brookfield Properties was represented in-house by Mikael Nahmias and Dan Roberts.

One Liberty recently completed a dramatic lobby repositioning, featuring double-height interior spaces and all new finishes. In January 2026, Brookfield Properties unveiled the interactive art installation “A::Light” by Pierre Huyghe. A premium amenity center is underway and planned for completion in 2027. 

The 2.3 million s/f trophy office tower features column-free floorplates, offering 360-degree views of the city skylines and New York Harbor, along with direct in-building connections to the World Trade Center and Fulton Street transit hubs.
