What recent accomplishment or initiative are you most proud of, and what impact did it have on your firm, clients, or community?

The accomplishment I am most proud of is not a single transaction. It is the career I have managed to build in spite of every reason not to. I entered New York City commercial real estate in 2018 as a founding member of Compass’s commercial division, at a moment when the market was already showing significant strain. What followed was not the rising tide that lifts all boats. It was a relentless series of headwinds that tested every professional in this industry.

What daily habit or routine helps you stay focused or motivated as a leader?

I train every day without exception. Physical discipline and mental discipline are the same muscle. 

What is one major challenge you’ve overcome as a leader, and what did it teach you?

I launched my career as conditions were already deteriorating, survived COVID, pushed through years of rising interest rates and frozen deal flow, and watched the financing environment tighten in ways that made even straightforward deals nearly impossible to close. Most people I started alongside are gone. They left for other industries, other cities, or simply gave up waiting for things to turn around.I stayed. Not because it was easy but because I refused to let the market decide what my career would look like.

What that experience taught me is you cannot wait for conditions to improve.

How do you inspire, motivate, or mentor others within your organization?

What motivates me personally is the same thing I try to pass on , the knowledge that nobody handed me this. Every deal, every relationship, every piece of recognition I have earned came from deciding not to quit when quitting would have been the easier choice. That is the fuel. And when I see one of my agents close their first deal, or push through a moment they were ready to walk away from, that is the reward that means the most to me.This business will test you in ways you do not expect.he only thing you can control is your standard and your effort. That is what I teach my team every day.
