What recent accomplishment or initiative are you most proud of, and what impact did it have?

I entered the industry during COVID, when office buildings were at historic vacancies. I renegotiated 50% of my portfolio’s leases and brought occupancy to 100%. What made that period invaluable was the sheer volume — short-term deals, small spaces, high turnover. The repetition was relentless, and it sharpened every skill I have: negotiating, underwriting, building out space, managing tenants. While others pulled back from office, I leaned in — and that foundation shaped everything about how I operate today.

What book, podcast, or app influenced your leadership?

Good to Great— Jim Collins — Strategic & Organizational Leadership.

What advice would you share with emerging professionals in commercial real estate?

Stay humble, stay curious, and don’t underestimate the unglamorous work. Fall in love with the process, not just the closing.

Pivoting into commercial real estate during COVID from another career meant building my foundation from the ground up. This is a business where small, consistent habits compound — every deal you underwrite, every market you study, every relationship you invest in moves the needle.

Surround yourself with mentors and peers who challenge your thinking, and ask for feedback more often than feels comfortable. You won’t get everything right — the key is paying attention to what went wrong and adjusting quickly.

What daily habit helps you stay focused?

I block my first 90 minutes for my highest-priority task before I open email or return calls.
