What recent accomplishment or initiative are you most proud of, and what impact did it have on your firm, clients, or community?

I am most proud of our NYC Development Practice’s work on office-to-residential conversions. We’ve guided owners, buyers, and developers through complex zoning, code requirements, and tax incentives on projects ranging from 20 units to over 1,000. Each deal presents unique challenges, requiring close coordination with architects and consultants to successfully deliver much-needed housing. Over the past two years we have done numerous conversions in Manhattan and Brooklyn and we hope to continue and hit the other boroughs as well.

What daily habit or routine helps you stay focused or motivated as a leader?

I walk NYC without headphones — stay alert, look up, and learn from small moments.

How do you inspire, motivate, or mentor others within your organization?

I am motivated by the tangible impact of our work in NYC’s built environment, and I share that perspective to inspire others. I encourage junior attorneys to see each deal as shaping the city itself. As partner in charge of our externship program, I mentor 3L students entering the profession, helping them navigate practice and find purpose in their work. Being at a NYC commercial real estate firm allows you to walk around and see your impact.
