What is one major challenge you’ve overcome as a leader, and what did it teach you?
A major challenge I’ve overcome as a leader is learning to move past disappointment and help other agents do the same. Like the song says, “I get knocked down, but I get up again.” In this business, deals will always fall apart, that’s the nature of the game. What matters is how you handle yourself in those moments and how quickly you reset, refocus, and move onward and upward. I’ve learned there are no mistakes, only opportunities to improve. When an agent loses a deal, the goal is to help them find the lesson in the setback and channel it into their next opportunity.
How do you inspire, motivate, or mentor others within your organization?
I motivate my team by grounding everything in my 25 years in this business while staying aware that commercial real estate never stops evolving. Experience gives you a foundation, but real leadership comes from knowing you’re always learning. The industry looks nothing like it did when I started — social media, technology, and data tools have transformed how we market and serve clients. As much as I mentor my agents, I learn from them too. Their fresh perspectives keep us sharp. My job is to help new and seasoned agents navigate the industry with confidence.
What advice would you share with emerging professionals striving to become future leaders in commercial real estate?
The best advice I can give emerging professionals is to be intentional about where you learn and who you learn from. This business is too fast‑moving to navigate alone. Find a mentor who’s been through real cycles, and one who can teach you judgment and resilience. Just as important, choose a company with a culture that fits how you learn and grow. When you’re in the right environment — with the right people — you build confidence, stay adaptable, and put yourself on a true path to success!
What recent accomplishment or initiative are you most proud of, and what impact did it have on your firm, clients, or community?
I’m most proud of our division’s recent CoStar Power Broker recognition because it reflects the strength of the team we’ve built. Our success isn’t about having the biggest roster—it’s about having the right people in the room. My agents are loyal, driven, gritty, and deeply knowledgeable. They know this business isn’t a volume game; it’s a relationship and persistence game, and they show up every day ready to put clients first and push deals across the finish line. That culture drives real impact. When a team collaborates, problem‑solves, and refuses to quit, excellence becomes the norm.
What daily habit or routine helps you stay focused or motivated as a leader?
Getting in a workout every morning and making time for my family keeps me grounded and motivated.
