What is one major challenge you’ve overcome as a leader, and what did it teach you?

One of the most significant challenges I’ve overcome as a leader was learning how to effectively delegate and trust others with responsibilities that I once felt only I could handle. Early in my career, I equated leadership with control — believing that being deeply involved in every detail ensured quality and success. However, as project demands grew and timelines tightened, this approach became unsustainable and ultimately limited both my effectiveness and my team’s growth.

What daily habit or routine helps you stay focused or motivated as a leader?

Quiet morning reset, prioritizing to-do’s, and small pauses throughout the day help me focus.

What advice would you share with emerging professionals striving to become future leaders in commercial real estate?

Leadership is defined by actions not by title. Show up consistently, take responsibility, and support those around you. Individuals who stand out are those who combine technical knowledge with integrity, resilience, and a commitment to team success. Embrace patience and curiosity. This industry is built on relationships, experience, and an understanding of how projects come together from start to finish. Take the time to learn every aspect of the business and don’t be afraid to ask questions along the way. Equally important is developing strong communication skills.
