What recent accomplishment or initiative are you most proud of, and what impact did it have on your firm, clients, or community?
Joining the Center for Economic Growth’s leadership board is something I’m proud of. It’s given me a more direct role in helping attract new companies to the Capital Region while supporting the growth of businesses already here. Being able to collaborate with other regional leaders and contribute to the long-term economic health of the area I grew up in is meaningful, and it ultimately benefits our clients and the broader community.
What is one major challenge you’ve overcome as a leader, and what did it teach you?
Building a boutique brokerage in a market dominated by national firms has been a challenge. It’s required us to be more focused, more responsive, and more creative in how we deliver value. It reinforced that relationships, consistency, and execution matter more than brand size. Over time, that approach has helped us earn trust and carve out our own position in the market.
How do you inspire, motivate, or mentor others within your organization?
At a smaller firm, there’s no room for hierarchy to get in the way — everyone contributes. I try to lead by example, whether that’s business development, client work, or day-to-day tasks. When the team sees that no job is too small, it sets the tone. That mindset builds accountability and keeps everyone aligned around doing what’s best for the client.
What advice would you share with emerging professionals striving to become future leaders in commercial real estate?
Commercial real estate can be a great career if you stay disciplined early on. The fundamentals matter—showing up, building relationships, and consistently creating value. Don’t just call when you need something; share insights and be a resource. There will be ups and downs but staying even keeled and persistent is key. If you focus on relationships and long-term credibility, the deals will follow.
What daily habit or routine helps you stay focused or motivated as a leader?
A lot of coffee! No, seriously, early mornings in the office are my most productive hours.
What book, podcast, or app has most influenced your approach to leadership?
Traction by Gino Wickman — practical, actionable, and something I shared with our team.
Who has had the greatest impact on your career or leadership journey?
Mentorship from experienced brokers and business owners has shaped how I lead and operate.
