“Enrico leads Urbahn’s K-12 education design studio as well as selected public and institutional projects. He is highly skilled in developing and maintaining client relationships and leading teams with positivity, while developing solutions to complex design and project management challenges.”

What recent accomplishment or initiative are you most proud of, and what impact did it have on your firm, clients, or community?

When I joined Urbahn in 2023, I was tasked with leading the firm’s K-12 studio and overseeing projects for the Department of Sanitation. Amid leadership changes in these sectors, I’m most proud of not only maintaining, but strengthening existing client relationships. In 2025, Urbahn secured another Capital Improvement term contract with the NYC School Construction Authority, and earlier this year, our new term contract with DSNY began. I have also expanded our network, introducing Urbahn to new clients and potential business partners.

How do you inspire, motivate, or mentor others within your organization?

I’m transparent about my experiences when speaking with younger architects and designers. To me, leadership isn’t about creating distance from those I lead, but about being approachable and relatable. I remind junior colleagues that I was once in their position, navigating similar challenges. I encourage them to stay self-motivated, take initiative, and recognize that they have control over their own professional paths and growth.

What daily habit or routine helps you stay focused or motivated as a leader?

Socializing, dinners, drinks and travel recharge me and fuel my leadership inspiration.

What book, podcast, or app has most influenced your approach to leadership?

My leadership approach comes from observing other leaders throughout my career.

Who has had the greatest impact on your career or leadership journey?

My ex-colleagues who turned into close friends. They inspire me to always push forward.
