Shopping Centers
The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) will hold its 2009 Conference on Open-Air Centers (OAC) from February 4 - 6 at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel. The agenda includes the following:
Wednesday, February 4
* 8 - 9:30 a.m. Shopping Center Tour Registration (pre-registration is required.)
* 9 - 9:30 a.m. Special Presentation: Hot New Shopping Center Projects in Los Angeles.
* 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Hot Projects: Shopping Center Tours (separate registration fee and pre-registration required.) Americana at Brand, Glendale, Calif.: Opened in the spring of 2008, Caruso Affiliated's first mixed-use development features shopping, dining and entertainment with residential living in a park-like setting. This 16-acre project features a half million s/f of retail/commercial space, 100 condos and 238 apartment homes. Tenants include Ed Hardy, Custo Barcelona and Barney's New York Co-Op. fresh & easy, El Segundo, Calif.: Tesco has opened 102 of these 10,000 s/f fresh & easy grocery stores throughout Calif., Nevada and Ariz. The markets offer fresh and easy brands that are prepared fresh daily in their 800,000 s/f distribution center in the Inland Empire.

The event will consist of three 45-minute sessions at three different roundtables of your choice. Table leaders include retailers, brokers, lenders, developers, public sector officials, shopping center owners and managers.

Panelists include: Keith Eyrich, president, retail properties of The Irvine Co., Irvine, Calif.; Brad Hutensky, an ICSC trustee and president of The Hutensky Group, LLC, Hartford, Conn.; and Rappaport.
