2026 Developing Long Island: NYU Langone Patchogue Ambulatory Surgical Center

March 31, 2026 - Spotlight Content

Patchougue, NY EW Howell Construction Group is underway on the NYU Langone Health Patchogue Ambulatory Surgical Center project. Located on Main St., this new center was previously the home of the BeeHive, the Mid-Island Department Store, and most recently, Burlington Coat Factory. This project involves the removal of the roof and mechanical penthouse, as well as the construction of side walls and a new roof structure for the two-story, 55,000 s/f healthcare facility. It will feature physician offices offering specialized outpatient surgical services.

This project required new structural work, foundation work, underpinning, and other construction milestones in line with structural and MEP vibration criteria for Article 28 ambulatory surgery programs by any AHJ with jurisdiction. Elevations will receive new faces and improvements at the exterior walkways at the building’s front and rear lot lines.

Set for completion this April, the NYU Patchogue Ambulatory Surgical Center project is integral to NYU Langone’s Health larger efforts to expand outpatient services across Suffolk County.
