Manhattan, NY The CoreNet Global NYC Chapter hosted its annual and inspiring International Women’s Day program, “Give to Gain,” on March 5, 2026, at the Haworth Showroom. Organized by the chapter’s Women’s Leadership Committee, the event brought together corporate real estate professionals for an engaging conversation on mentorship, leadership, and advancing women in the industry.

Moderated by Suzanne Heidelberger of Real Edge Advisors, the panel featured women leaders in the industry, including Laurie Rothenberg of Pfizer, Terry Goulard of UBS, and Arsha Cazazian-Clement of Blackstone.

Panelists reflected on their early careers and the challenges they faced entering the real estate industry, particularly in spaces where women have historically been underrepresented. They spoke about the perseverance required to explore different disciplines and find their place in the industry, as well as the determination needed to prove themselves and rise through the ranks.

A key theme throughout the discussion was the role of mentorship in professional development. The panel shared how mentors helped them find their voices, build confidence, and grow both professionally and personally. While reflecting on their younger selves, several speakers emphasized the importance of confidence, noting that even when they are the only women in the room, their voices deserve to be heard.

The panel also addressed the realities of balancing demanding careers with motherhood and personal responsibilities. Speakers candidly discussed the sacrifices working mothers often face, while highlighting the importance of leveraging available resources, prioritizing what matters most, and embracing support systems that enable both career growth and family life.

Additional insights focused on navigating complex workplace dynamics and developing the self-awareness necessary to lead effectively. Panelists encouraged attendees to trust their perspectives, step back when needed to evaluate situations thoughtfully, and advocate for themselves and others.

In alignment with the program’s “Give to Gain” theme, the event partnered with Bottomless Closet, a New York City–based nonprofit dedicated to empowering disadvantaged women to enter the workforce and achieve economic self-sufficiency. The organization provides professional attire, resume support, interview preparation, and career workshops to help women build confidence and secure employment. Attendees were also encouraged to bring professional clothing to donate to Bottomless Closet, supporting the organization’s mission to help women prepare for job opportunities. To further support attendees’ professional advancement, the event featured complimentary professional headshots and a “Connections Bowl,” allowing attendees to expand their networks and connect with someone new.

Building on last year’s success, the 2026 event highlighted how generosity, collaboration, and shared knowledge can accelerate progress for women across the corporate real estate industry. Through candid dialogue and practical insights, panelists encouraged attendees to support one another, embrace leadership opportunities, and continue fostering environments where women can thrive.
