Kim joins JLL Capital Markets as senior director

Manhattan, NY JLL Capital Markets has strengthened its affordable housing team with the addition of Karen Kim as senior director. Kim joins the team under the leadership of C.W. Early, bringing more than 13 years of experience in providing FHA-insured, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and bridge financing to both affordable and market-rate developers. Kim will be based out of New York City.

Kim brings extensive experience in managing the full origination process, from pre-engagement through post-closing servicing coordination. She specializes in structuring financing for refinancing, substantial rehabilitation and new construction of developments, providing a multi-faceted approach to meet both long-term and short-term portfolio goals for clients.

Kim’s background includes public service experience that drives her passion for affordable housing. Prior to joining JLL, she served as managing director of Affordable & Conventional Originations at NewPoint Real Estate Capital and spent nearly a decade at Greystone & Co. in various roles including relationship manager and production manager. Additionally, Kim holds a Master of International Studies from Yonsei University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida. She has served as a board member for Korean American Story and has held leadership roles with For Hope International, demonstrating her commitment to community service.
