What emerging challenge or opportunity do you see shaping the construction industry in the next few years, and how are you preparing for it?

One of the biggest opportunities — and challenges — shaping the construction industry over the next few years is the rapid integration of AI and data-driven technology alongside a tightening labor market. We’re preparing by investing in smart construction tools that improve planning, cost control, and real-time decision-making, while also standardizing processes that reduce risk and increase efficiency. At the same time, we’re focused on strengthening our teams through heavy training, safety innovation, and clear communication — because technology works best when paired with experienced people.

What is one piece of advice or perspective you would share with women beginning their careers in the construction industry?

Construction is a results-driven industry. Learn the work, ask many questions, and speak with confidence about what you know. You don’t need to fit a mold to be respected; consistency, follow-through, and integrity earn credibility faster than anything else. Find mentors, support other women when you can, and remember: you belong on the jobsite just as much as anyone else.

What habit or routine helps you stay focused or motivated during a busy week?

A daily quick reset. Reviewing what was accomplished and setting up the next day builds consistency and motivation.

What is something outside of work that brings you energy, balance or creativity?

My daily “quiet time” to reflect and plan gives me clarity and allows my best ideas to surface. I try to do this daily.
