Manhattan, NY CBRE made known that CIGNA has signed a 32,700 s/f office lease taking full occupancy of two tower floors in 2 Grand Central Tower, relocating from its offices in the base of the building.

CBRE’s Anthony Dattoma represented CIGNA. The CBRE team of Paul Amrich, Neil King, Meghan Allen, Alexander Golod and James Ackerson is leading the leasing and marketing efforts for the property and represented the building ownership in the lease negotiations.

“With its expansive outdoor plaza, dramatic two-story atrium lobby, and amenity program, the premier office property at 2 Grand Central Tower continues to be one of the most sought-after properties in the Midtown market,” said King. “We are pleased that after examining the overall market, we were able to accommodate CIGNA’s needs with superior space within their long-time home.”

Located one block from Grand Central Terminal and three blocks from the United Nations, 2 Grand Central Tower has views of the New York City skyline and the East River. The Midtown building provides concierge services in the lobby, which has a two-story atrium. The property also has a safety and security system, an outdoor public plaza, and access to several transportation options.

Ownership plans to implement a multi-million dollar building upgrade featuring best-in-class amenities, including a tenant lounge, conferencing and fitness center and an upgraded lobby.
