Urban Land Institute NY recognizes 15 finalists for 2026 Awards for Excellence in Development

January 27, 2026 - Construction Design & Engineering

Queens, NY The Urban Land Institute (ULI) New York has recognized 15 projects as finalists for its tenth annual Awards for Excellence in Development. Seven winners in as many categories will be announced and honored at ULI New York’s Awards Gala on April 29, 2026, at Ziegfeld Ballroom.

The awards recognize exceptional development projects in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors across New York State that best exemplify ULI’s commitment to shape the future of the built environment for transformative impact in communities worldwide. These awards recognize the full development process of a project, including that of architecture and design, and reflect best-in-class development. Awards are open to ULI New York members and non-members who have completed private, public, and non-profit projects within the designated window of eligibility.

Over the coming months, the Awards Jury will tour and evaluate finalist projects and select the winners. The Awards for Excellence Jury is comprised of ULI New York members who span the spectrum of all segments of the New York real estate industry. They include owners, developers, investors, architects, brokers, urban planners, attorneys, and lenders.

In April, ULI New York will celebrate nominees in the following seven categories: adaptive reuse, affordable housing development, civic & institutional development, market-rate housing development, mixed-use development, office development and urban open space.
