Greenlight Networks Grand Slam Park generates $5.3m economic impact in the ‘25 softball season

Binghamton, NY A recent analysis of activity at the newly renovated BAGSAI softball complex — now known as Greenlight Networks Grand Slam Park — showed an outstanding 2025 softball season; hosting more than 15 major tournaments and welcoming thousands of visitors to Broome County.

According to preliminary figures released by Visit Binghamton, activity at Greenlight Networks Grand Slam Park generated more than $5.3 million in total economic impact during the 2025 season. This impact includes revenue from overnight stays, dining, transportation, shopping, and other local services — providing a boost to the Broome County economy.

From May through November 2025 the facility drew over 40,000 visitors, including athletes, coaches, umpires, tournament staff, families, and supporters from across New York State and beyond. The park served as the main venue for numerous tournaments, including the New York State Public High School Girls Softball Championships, the 45th Annual James “Ace” Morabito Memorial Tournament, and multiple events organized by BlueChip Softball, Homerun Softball, and Section IV Championships.

Broome County executive Jason Garnar said, “Greenlight Networks Grand Slam Park has quickly become one of New York’s premier softball venues. The NYSPHSAA Championships not only bring incredible energy to our community but also deliver a real economic boost to Broome County and its businesses. We look forward to welcoming athletes, families, and fans in the years ahead and strengthening Broome County’s role as a leading host for championship softball’’
