Brooklyn, NY In a transaction arranged by CBRE, Cobble Hill Ballet has committed to 5,803 s/f of space at Monadnock Development’s newly constructed headquarters building at 300 Huntington St. in Gowanus. The ballet studio will relocate from 232 Carroll St. to part of the fifth floor in the 136,000 s/f, building designed by Dattner Architects and Bernheimer Architecture.

The CBRE team of Patrick Dugan, Joseph Cirone, Taylor Carlin and Jeff Glabman led the leasing campaign for 300 Huntington St. and represented the ownership in the negotiations. Matt Hopkins of Acona Real Estate represented Cobble Hill Ballet.

“Since developing 300 Huntington Street for its corporate headquarters, Monadnock Development has successfully leased the retail space at the property to a number of high-profile retail tenants that all directly serve the community,” said Dugan. “Our leasing campaign continues to gain momentum with tenants such as Cranial Technologies and now Cobble Hill Ballet, which has been teaching dance to the neighborhood’s children for over twenty years. We are thrilled to welcome them to the building so they can continue to serve local families.”

Frank Dubinsky, Monadnock’s chief operating officer, said, “We are delighted that Cobble Hill Ballet chose 300 Huntington as their new headquarters. With the building’s success, it’s clear that this is fast becoming the premier location in Gowanus for neighborhood businesses, offices, and creative light industry. The future of Gowanus is bright!”

Tenants are attracted to the property’s quality office space, highly curated amenities, and ideal location at the nexus of the Gowanus, Carroll Gardens, Park Slope, and Red Hook neighborhoods, according to the CBRE team.

300 Huntington St. is the first and only new ground-up commercial office complex in the neighborhood, which is already known as a vibrant hub for the arts and creative industries. The office portion of the building has views of the downtown Brooklyn and lower Manhattan skylines. Tenants enjoy quick and easy access to the F & G subway lines and building amenities such as 5,000 s/f of terraces, a public esplanade along the Gowanus Canal, and a bike storage room.

Cobble Hill Ballet’s founder said, “We are so excited to open the doors to our families at 300 Huntington. Our new home will have three beautiful state-of-the-art studios for our dancers to enjoy. We can’t wait to show them!
