GFP Real Estate signs Knit Illustrated to 4,051 s/f five-year lease at 247 West 37th St.
Manhattan, NY According to GFP Real Estate, LLC New York-based knitwear company Knit Illustrated, Inc. has signed a new five-year lease for 4,051 s/f on the third floor of 247 West 37th St. in the Garment District.
Matthew Mandell of GFP Real Estate represented the landlord, GFP Real Estate, and the tenant, Knit Illustrated, in this direct transaction. Knit Illustrated, Inc., which first moved into the building 2011, will continue to use its space as its general and executive offices and as a sample showroom. The company will relocate within the building from a different space on the third floor following the completion of its new build out.

247 West 37th St. was designed by Gronenberg & Leuchtag and built in 1924 by the Bricken Construction Company. The 19-story, 271,000 s/f property features modernized elevators and a recently upgraded lobby. The building is home to a mix of nonprofit and fashion tenants including JASA, Workmen’s Circle, and The Settlement Housing Fund. Located in the Garment District, it offers access to major transit lines and neighborhood amenities.
