What has been the most rewarding project or deal you’ve worked on in your career, and why?

In July 2025, I celebrated the grand opening and ribbon cutting of BRP Companies’ Ruby Square, a 614-unit mixed-income multifamily development in Jamaica, Queens, the neighborhood where I grew up. Having also grown up in workforce housing, I understand its importance to local residents firsthand. It was a full-circle moment of pride to be able to invest $141 million in the project, contributing to my childhood neighborhood while collaborating alongside my close colleague and friend, co-founder & managing partner of BRP Companies, Meredith Marshall.

If you could change one thing about the CRE industry, what would it be and why?

The commercial real estate industry remains far too insular, with opportunities often granted based on personal connections rather than merit. This leaves many talented young professionals without access simply because they weren’t born into the “right” network. That’s why I founded the BIG Foundation — to break down these barriers by partnering with the Real Estate Executive Council (REEC) and other leading organizations to foster a more inclusive industry that promotes diversity and inspires the next generation of leaders.
