Magnusson Architect and Planning opens 72 apartments at The Rise

Brooklyn, NY Magnusson Architecture and Planning (MAP) joined developers, community service providers, elected officials, agency representatives, and many others as they officially opened the doors at The Rise. The Passive House-certified, all-electric, NYSERDA Buildings of Excellence winner and Blue Ribbon for Design Excellence awardee, offers 72 apartments for justice-involved families as well as low-income households and over 13,000 s/f of community space. As one of the winning proposals for New York State’s Vital Brooklyn RFP, The Rise is a truly sustainable, healthy, and resilient development in Brownsville. The mixed-use development by Xenolith Partners LLC, CPC, and the Brownsville Partnership, offers services through the Women’s Prison Association and the Osborne Association, as well as programs by Community Capacity Development and Project Eats.
