Manhattan, NY 590 Madison Ave., the one million s/f office tower with office and retail space managed by Edward J. Minskoff Equities, signed a lease with Apollo Global Management (Apollo) for 100,000 s/f across four full floors.
Apollo will occupy floors 10-13 at 590 Madison Ave. and is expected to move into the space by the end of next year. The lease signed by Apollo follows leasing activity and momentum at 590 Madison Ave., which has added several well-known tenants to its roster. In the last 12 months, 590 Madison Ave. has exercised over 250,000 s/f of new, renewal and expansion leases throughout the building.
Apollo was represented by a CBRE team of Stephen Siegel, Michael Geoghegan, Michael Wellen, and Ryan Luck. The landlord was represented by Jeffrey Sussman and Matthew Pynn of Edward J. Minskoff Equities, Inc. “We are thrilled to welcome Apollo to the building and look forward to curating a unique workplace experience for its employees.”
590 Madison Avenue will unveil its newly created amenity center, The Madison Avenue Club (The MAC), this spring. Designed by Gensler, The MAC is a full floor amenity suite that includes a large multi-purpose conference hall, food and beverage offerings, lounge space, an outdoor roof terrace and dynamic meeting areas that extend 590 Madison Ave.’s legacy as a marquee commercial property. Designed as a flexible “third space” where employees and visitors can step away from their everyday activities, The MAC provides a buttoned-up backdrop for carefully curated experiences centered around relaxation, wellness, entertainment, and connection in the heart of the Plaza District.
The MAC is in addition to the building’s current amenities which include a tenant-only parking garage, the sunlight atrium which will feature Café 590 opening later this year, and The Athletic Club, a 12,000 s/f fitness club that is free for all tenant employees.
Apollo Global Management is a leading provider of alternative asset management and retirement solutions, investing across asset classes and geographies.
“590 Madison is a premier example of the significant demand for renovated office spaces in desirable locations like the Plaza District,” said Stephen Siegel, chairman of global brokerage at CBRE. “The high caliber of tenants driving leasing activity reaffirms the value of class A, well-located and highly-amenitized assets.”
