LMJ Management and Construction
“At Wildflower, we place great value on reliable partnerships. LMJ has proven to be an asset to our team, and we are confident in their ability to handle projects of any scale with the same level of dedication and excellence. It is without reservation that I recommend LMJ Management & Construction, Inc. as a premier general contractor for your upcoming projects.” - Taylor Mahoney VP/Construction, Wildflower.
Recent goal and impact:
I was nominated for the Humanitarian of the year and the entire LMJ team rallied to help raise three-quarters of a million dollars for the Cooley’s Anemia Foundation. It was an incredible moment of unity and purpose. Not only did it reinforce our values as a company, but it also showcased our ability to make a meaningful impact beyond the construction site.
Turning problems into opportunities:
We pride ourselves on being a knowledgeable general contracting firm. I tell our clients that drawings are never 100% accurate, and it’s our responsibility to fully understand the overall project and the client’s expectations. By working closely with clients and design teams upfront, we ensure the final product meets expectations, keeps the project on time, and prevents wasted money from rework.
Who was/is your role model and/or leadership mentor?
My dedicated team members are my role models and motivate me each day to be a better leader.
Sharing knowledge and expertise:
As a leader, I make it a point to sit down with our team and explain why we do things a certain way, rather than just telling them what to do. Communication is one of the most important aspects of running a business—when the team understands why and how to do something, steps aren’t missed, and work gets done correctly.
Best advice for new leaders:
To always focus on the bigger picture and continuously learn, this is essential for growth.
