What trends or innovations do you believe will shape the future of your field, and how are you positioning yourself (or your firm) to be at the forefront?
The future of real estate demands a shift — rental housing that isn’t just an afterthought but a design-forward, aspirational choice. With homeownership increasingly out of reach, we’re redefining rentals with high-quality, experience-driven spaces that rival ownership. Innovative financing models, flexible living solutions, and sustainability-driven design will shape what’s next. By prioritizing thoughtful architecture and livability, we’re ensuring renting isn’t a compromise — it’s a first choice.
Who or what has inspired you most in your career, and what advice would you share with the next generation of women entering the A/E/C industry?
Women Don’t Ask revealed the hidden dynamics of negotiation that often leave women at a disadvantage — insights that have been invaluable in my real estate development career. In an industry where strong deals define success, the book’s guidance has helped me negotiate with greater confidence, push for better terms, and navigate high-stakes discussions with assurance. It reinforced that negotiation isn’t just about securing agreements but about shaping opportunities and driving value. With these lessons, I approach every deal with a strategic mindset and a firm voice at the table.
What’s your favorite way to recharge or get inspired outside of work?
Time with family hiking, walking, or playing — clears my mind and sparks fresh inspiration for my work.
