What is one project or achievement in your career that you are most proud of, and how did it impact your organization or community? 

Becoming a project executive at CM&B marks a major milestone in my career. This role has deepened my involvement in client relations and sharpened my ability to lead projects from inception. I now collaborate with clients at the conceptual stage, helping them define their vision, set clear objectives, and assemble the right team to bring their project to life. Stepping into this position has not only expanded my expertise but also reinforced my commitment to delivering exceptional service, strengthening relationships and driving long-term growth for both our clients and the company.

What trends or innovations do you believe will shape the future of your field, and how are you positioning yourself (or your firm) to be at the forefront?

I believe that providing a high level of customer service is a time-honored trend that will continue to prove to be successful in this industry. It is essential to understand and anticipate the needs of your clients, stakeholders, and team members and being able to execute at a high level. This includes listening to truly comprehend the needs of the projects and disseminating that information to the team to create a plan that is tailored to meet the goals of the project. Finally, it is important to track if the project goals are being met as unexpected challenges always occur.

What’s your favorite way to recharge or get inspired outside of work?

Traveling! It gives me perspective on myself, my work, and how to grow as a person in this industry.

Who or what has inspired you most in your career, and what advice would you share with the next generation of women entering the A/E/C industry? 

I am inspired that the work that I do has a tangible and visible result. Working in the construction industry can come with long hours and constantly making tough choices. However, it is really inspiring to be able to see and touch the work that has taken months, sometimes years, of planning and working hard to bring the project to fruition. My advice to the next generation of women entering this industry is to keep that in mind, particularly during tough times. In the end, you can all come together and celebrate the finished product that will be of use and service to others.
