Manhattan, NY The Building Owners and Managers Association of Greater New York (BOMA New York) has chosen a total of 42 nominees across 17 categories for its upcoming annual Pinnacle Awards celebration at Pier Sixty on Thursday, September 26, 2024 beginning at 5:30 PM. The nominees of these awards include exemplary individuals within their respective professions as well as outstanding buildings in the city. All nominees undergo a submission process recognizing individuals and buildings that best embody the passion and professionalism that can only be found in New York City.
Celebrating Achievement in Leadership
The acknowledgment of invaluable contributions to the industry takes center stage in the form of distinguished awards, including the coveted titles of Outstanding Local Member of the Year, Manager of the Year, Chief Engineer of the Year, Janitorial Professional of the Year, Security Professional of the Year, and Fire Life Safety Professional and Director of the Year. Each of these categories highlights individuals whose commitment and achievements have positively impacted the commercial real estate domain. Additionally, titles will be given for Historical Building of the Year, the Earth Award, Renovated Building of the Year, New Construction Building of the Year, Mixed Use Building of the Year, and Operating Building of the Year.
The nominees not only exemplify dedication to the mission of BOMA New York but also epitomize a commitment to the welfare of tenants, clients, and the entire metropolis. The Grand Pinnacle Award recognizes the building with the highest overall score.

Anthony Malkin of Empire State Realty Trust has been nominated for the Henry J. Muller Achievement Award recognizing vision for New York.
The nominee in the Outstanding Local Member of the Year category is Glenn Waldorf of Bell Environmental.
Merlin Pina-Sturges of Macquarie and Jeremiah McGinley of George Comfort & Sons are nominated for Emerging Leaders of the Year.
The nominees for Manager of the Year for the 3-to-10 year category are Ashley Williams of Cushman & Wakefield, and Erica Checchia of SL Green. Nominees for Manager of the Year in the 10-year plus experience range are David Leest of Cushman & Wakefield, Joseph McCausland of L&L Holding Company, and Kenneth Wrobel of Rudin.
Glenn Albrektsen of The Durst Organization, Nicholas Martone of Empire State Realty Trust, Jeremiah McGinley of George Comfort & Sons and Nicola Ranieri of Cushman & Wakefield are nominated for Chief Engineer of the Year.
The nominees in the Janitorial Professional of the Year category are Wellington Brioso of Robert Pender ESRT, Hatizde Capric of Carnegie Hall Tower LLC / TF Cornerstone, Gustavo Haith of Joseph House ESRT, Armondo Inca of Alliance, and Aleksandar Stojanov of The Empire State Building.
The nominees in the Security Professional of the Year category include John Polizzano of Cushman & Wakefield and George Giga of Silverstein Properties.
The nominees in the Fire Life Safety Director of the Year category include Daniel Bonilla The Durst Organization, Edward Delbalso of Cushman & Wakefield, James Hahn of ESRT 1359 Broadway, L.L.C., and Jeffrey Hohne of SL Green Realty Corp. In the Fire Life Safety Professional category, nominees include Glen Braham of Brookfield Properties operated by CBRE and Juan Valls of the Port Authority of NY/NJ/Thomas Dalton.
