What lessons have you learned from past real estate trends that can be applied to today's market? We have officially turned the corner into a "buyer's market." Most sellers are not willing to accept the prices that buyers are offering today. Some sellers have compelling reasons to sell yet are faced with the prospect of selling at a loss. It is important to know that a traditional sale is not their only option. Challenging times call for challenging ideas! Having successfully managed the last down cycle of the real estate market, I am confident that I can once again assist sellers in navigating the current environment. I strongly urge anyone who is thinking of selling to hire a sales broker who has actively sold real estate during the early '90s.   Adelaide Polsinelli is an associate VP of investments at Marcus & Millichap, New York, N.Y.
