“We are excited to promote pickleball in the Capital Region as an indoor, year-round sport. Our journey with this sport began nine years ago while following two of our children’s collegiate teams—softball and baseball—during their Spring training trips down south. Over time, our passion for pickleball grew, and we’ve been actively seeking the perfect opportunity to establish a year-round pickleball facility in the Albany area. With pickleball’s remarkable growth over the past three years, boasting more than 36 million players nationwide, and the availability of what we view as the most convenient location to serve the entire Capital Region, we knew it was the right moment to take this step,” said Gary Miller, co-managing member.
The grand opening event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony, exhibition matches, free lessons and trial court times, Picklers Pickleball Club custom tee shirts and special promotions for attendees and, of course, court times for those who want to jump right in and play.
