Queens, NY Danielle Molaison has joined Cord Meyer Development Co. as vice president development. A veteran real estate executive with more than 25 years of experience in real estate and multi-family housing, Molaison comes to Cord Meyer from AvalonBay Communities, Inc. Before joining AvalonBay, she held a series of senior-level positions, including managing the construction of a 42-story residential project in midtown Manhattan for Tishman Construction.
At AvalonBay, Molaison served as senior director, development, responsible for development on Long Island as well as regional. Her responsibilities ranged from project feasibility and acquisition to construction completion and lease-up. Molaison began her career in 1997 as a project architect before advancing to principal architect and senior project architect.
In 2006, she made the move to senior development manager, the first of several development positions held before joining AvalonBay in 2016 as senior project manager, construction.

A graduate of University of Notre Dame, where she received her Bachelor of Architecture in 1997, Molaison holds a Master of Real Estate Development from University of Southern California and is a member of The Energeia Partnership Class of 2022, Molloy University. Molaison also serves as a member of the Community Housing Innovations’ Long Island Advisory Board and served as a member of the board of directors of the Long Island Builders’ Institute and the Real Estate Institute at Stony Brook.
