The Westchester Bank names Tolomer to serve as president and CEO

According to The Westchester Bank, veteran banking executive John Tolomer joined the bank as president and CEO.
George Dunkel, founding president and CEO of The Westchester Bank plans to retire. Dunkel, who has 50 years experience in the banking industry, joined the bank last year after retiring as president and CEO of Community Bank of Sullivan County in 2005.
Tolomer, has 16 years of retail and commercial banking experience in Westchester County including executive positions with Citibank and The Bank of N.Y., where he served as a senior VP. In 2003, Tolomer was recruited by Commerce Bank to spearhead its expansion into the Westchester market where he was responsible for building a strong franchise for the bank. Two years later, he was named president of Commerce Florida.
