Manhattan, NY Concord Summit Capital, LLC (Concord Summit) has hired veteran industry professional Aryeh Friedman as managing director. Based in the firm’s New York City office at 9 East 40th St., he will be responsible for sourcing new debt and equity opportunities throughout the U.S.
“We are pleased to add an industry veteran to our team who has tremendous contacts in real estate and has been responsible for billions of dollars in transactions,” said Concord Summit Capital chairman Kevin O’Grady.
Friedman has more than 30 years’ experience in commercial real estate, spending the majority of his career working on the finance side for national and regional private lenders, debt funds, hedge funds and intermediaries.
He has originated senior secured debt, mezzanine loans, preferred equity, and construction and acquisition loans, and has arranged distressed-debt deals. His experience covers all major property types including retail, office, industrial, multifamily and hotel.
Prior to joining Concord Summit, he served as Managing Director of Originations for Rok Lending where he was responsible for expanding the lending platform in new markets across the U.S. Prior to that, he sourced debt for Madison Capital and led all lending activities for the U.S. Eastern Seaboard for a Canadian-based debt fund.
Friedman started working in real estate finance in 1997 for Titan Capital after serving as President for a New York City-based commercial real estate brokerage affiliated with the former Grubb & Ellis.
“I am delighted to have this wonderful opportunity to work with Concord Summit and help them grow new markets,” said Friedman. “They have a talented group of professionals with strong experienced leadership, and I look forward to being part of the team.”
Friedman earned his master’s degree in real estate from New York University and his undergraduate degree from Yeshiva University. He has been a guest lecturer at the NYU Real Estate Institute.
