On October 30 the Rochester-Western New York chapter 58 of The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) held their annual Officer Installation and Awards Dinner at Hawthorne's Restaurant.
The elected chapter officers for 2009 are:
* Chapter president: Nichols Harris, Jr., CPM (Regional Facilities Management Services)
* VP of education: Steven Savoca, CPM (Konar Properties)
* VP of membership: Stephen Mingus, CPM (Morgan Management)
* Secretary/treasurer: Robert Miller Jr., CPM (Belmont Management)
* Members-at-large: Anthony DiBiase (Rochester Housing Authority) and Matt Caren
* ARM coordinator: Michelle Addy, ARM (Signature Housing Solutions)
* Income/expense committee chair: Andrew Lootens, CPM (Housing Management Resources)
* Legislative committee chair: Robert Miller Jr., CPM (Belmont Management)
* Public relations/E-Newsletter: Steven Savoca, CPM (Konar Properties)
Several individuals were recognized for their service over the past year:
* Mayzon Corp. was awarded the 2008 Accredited Management Organization (AMO) of the Year;
* Robert Miller Jr., CPM (Belmont Management) was awarded the chapter's 2008 Certified Property Manager (CPM) of the Year award;
* Michelle Addy, ARM (Signature Housing Solutions) was awarded the chapter's 2008 Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) of the Year award;
* National Fire Adjustment Co., Inc. was awarded the chapter's 2008 Vendor of the Year award;
* Scott Hill, CPM (Uniland Development) received the chapter's President's Award for outstanding service and excellence in his continued contributions to the chapter.
Three members celebrated their membership anniversaries:
* Nancy Butts, CPM (Crofton Associates) received her 20 year anniversary pin. Butts was chapter president in 1998 and 1999.
* Hill received his 15 year anniversary pin. Hill was chapter president in 2001 and 2002.
* Robert Miller Jr. (Belmont Management) received his 15 year anniversary pin.
