Zere Real Estate participates in father & son golf championship

November 14, 2008 - Long Island
Kyle Zere, 7 years old and his father, Michael Zere, of Zere Real Estate Services recently won the 2008 Father & Son Nissequogue Golf Club Championship. As the youngest player in the tournament, Kyle was asked not to participate due to his size and age. The golf pro was concerned he would hold the other members up competing on such a difficult golf course. Kyle's father told the pro that his son could hold his own. In the end, Michael and his son Kyle won the entire tournament. Michael at first thought it was a joke, but it was true, they had both won first place as a team across the board beating the adult teams. Everyone was shocked at the tournament and happy that they had a new little champion at the club. Kyle was thrilled, needless to say, when asked about winning he said, "Cool... I have dreams all the time of playing rounds of golf with Tiger Woods." His father, Michael just shook his head and said "My son parred a 500 yard par 5 on the 13th hole. He practices his golf swing, putting and chipping everyday and even attended golf camp over the summer with his younger brother, Tyler. He stays in the backyard on the putting green until it is dark outside practicing, we have to drag him in the house with his clubs for dinner." In the spring of 2009 Kyle has been asked to participate in the PGA Junior Tour and will be officially sponsored by the Nissequogue Golf Club, Suffolk County, Long Island.
