The biggest news as of this quarter is Dolce & Gabbana leased 695 Madison Ave. which was the former Hermes store at the Northeast corner of Madison and 62nd St. which houses 23,000 s/f. Hermes left last year to expand to a 45,000 s/f location at 706 Madison Ave. across the street at the Southwest corner of 63rd St. There expansive collection will now include everything from gardens to saddles, dog beds, leather goods, diamond watches, rolling suitcases and ready to wear accessories.
Directly across the street at the Northwest corner of 62nd St. at the former Hermes men store, Van Cleef & Arpels secured 9,000 s/f on five floors at 690 Madison Ave.
Valentino signed a lease for 26,300 s/f at 654 Madison Ave.at the Northwest corner of 60th St. They took the former Calvin Klein space.
Peter Millar casual men’s clothes and IWC watches, two of Riche-mont’s luxury brands both lease over 35,000 s/f at 645 Madison Ave. taking over the former Ann Taylor store that has been vacant since 2014,
Paul Morelli Jewelers and Anne Fontaine have both relocated in the same building at 725 Madison Ave. Both of their stores were located north on the Ave.
Fusalp ski wear from France last year took a pop-up store at 625 Madison Ave. and they did so well that they took a permanent store at 713 Madison Ave.
Bogner ski wear from Germany experienced the same luck as Fusalp. They leased 755 Madison Ave. as a pop-up and they did so well that they took a long-term lease.
Michael Kors moved across the street to 667 Madison Ave. to the space that previously housed Steuben Glass.
Italian shoemaker Fratelli Rossetti moved to 787 Madison Ave. from 625 Madison Ave. Their new location is between 66th and 67th Sts.
