Manhattan, NY According to Brookfield Properties, BBVA will relocate its local headquarters to Two Manhattan West, the office skyscraper located within the master-planned, eight-acre Manhattan West development.
BBVA plans to relocate by the end of 2024. The firm will occupy 74,000 s/f between floors 8-9 in the 58-story, 1.9 million s/f tower.
With the addition of BBVA, Two Manhattan West is now over 80% leased. BBVA joins major tenants such as U.S. audit, tax, and advisory firm KPMG, global law firms Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP and Clifford Chance, and investment and technology development firm the D.E. Shaw Group.
Construction of Two Manhattan West is now complete, and the building will welcome its first tenants in early 2024. The skyscraper offers state-of-the-art workspaces and amenities, including fitness rooms, conference spaces, and outdoor terraces, unparalleled access to transportation hubs Penn Station and Moynihan Train Hall, attractions like Madison Square Garden and the High Line, and the diverse mix of retail, dining, and entertainment outposts located at the Manhattan West campus.
Brookfield Properties was represented by in-house team Duncan McCuaig, Mikael Nahmias, Dave Caperna, and Dan Roberts.
BBVA was represented by Paul Ferraro of Cushman & Wakefield and Joe Messina of JLL.
Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, master architect of the Manhattan West development, Two Manhattan West is LEED-Gold certified. As part of Brookfield Properties’ commitment to transition its entire U.S. office portfolio to be powered by zero-emissions electricity by 2026, Two Manhattan West will procure 100% of its electricity needs from run-of-river hydropower facilities located in Upstate New York. The building features energy efficient design, optimization of electrical service performance, the use of sustainable materials, and the maximization of natural light.
